I’ve got the blues.

Blue is such a classic color. When I saw this post from Design OCD I knew I wanted to make something in my new room blue.

The hard part was picking a shade of blue! I wanted to completely recreate Design OCD’s look, but when I took my trip to the store to get some paint I felt madly in love with this Oxford Blue color.

I picked up 4 cans of this beauty and didn’t give it a second thought – or else I would have changed my mind.

I started with my lovely dressers. Accidentally, 1-year-ago I bought the same dresser my brother had purchase 2-years-ago at a local furniture store. LUCKY ME! I kept his and restored it.

To repair the drawer, I just took it apart and left only the “cover-up”. Then, used this wood Elmer’s Glue, which I just picked up from Walmart for around $5.00, and glued it to the front.

This lovely project took me a whole day. I followed these DIY instructions from She Knows. I loved the paint from the moment I saw it, but when I actually saw it on my dresser!!! I fell madly in love.

These beauties looked exactly like I imagined! GAHHH, I just love them, love the paint, love the shade. I know these are going to put the room to next level! I’m actually using these dressers as the focus point of my room. The whole decor might change a bit because this is a different shade of blue and because these drawers gave me a different inspiration. I’m excited to see this whole project together.
